Irrational or not, there’s something just creepy about spiders. Especially BIG ones. So you’ve got to hand it to Andrew Knight who decided to go big this past Halloween with an enormous spider display at his Bedfordshire, U.K., home.
We have always been drawn to AtmosFANs who settle on a single theme, and then build it out in as big a way as possible. You’ve certainly seen it before – we’ve seen magnificent thematic displays built around a single idea, like outer space, ancient Egypt, ghosts of the coastal California mountains, Harry Potter – even Star Wars Santa.
We’ll, here’s another one. And it’s pretty simple. (And that’s what makes it so great.) Andrew gathered up all the spider-specific decorations he could find and went to work. There’s rope fashioned into a web, spider props both large and small, and Creepy Crawlies 2 Decoration in all of the windows. How long did it take him?
“It took a day to put together, and worth every second,” Andrew tells us.
We agree! Andrew does a great job showing that you don’t necessarily need to spend weeks and months building an elaborate decoration display. Sometimes a good idea implemented really well has the greatest impact.
The neighbors certainly thought so. “I had cars pull up and loads of photos taken,” says Andrew. “Everyone I spoke to said it was amazing.”
No matter what you decorate for – and why – we want to see it! Send us your photos and videos using this simple online submission form, and you might become the next AtmosFAN of the Week. Aside from endless praise from your decorating peers, you will also receive a complete digital decoration collection!
