When searching for great candidates for AtmosFAN of the Week, we'll always go to great lengths – near or far, real or imagined. So bear with us, then, if it is a little unclear if the following video is from the highlands of Scotland – or North Carolina. Regardless of where this was filmed, it is certainly magical.
“Go Jo” and her family have created a clever facsimile of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, made famous, of course, by Harry Potter. Dressed as Hermione herself, our newest – and youngest – AtmosFAN of the Week gives a tour of her Harry Potter–themed display.
Jo lives on a street where many of the families, her father says, “geek out on Halloween.” This makes for some friendly competition up and down the neighborhood. Each year Jo’s family does a different theme for Halloween. The day after Independence Day they settled on the Hogwarts theme, and they've been hard at work ever since.
“The candles took a long time, but it was worth it to hear all the Harry Potter fans tell us how much they loved it,” says Jo’s father. “Jo got crazy good at the hot glue gun – she uses it for everything now. We might have to cut her off.”

Of course, we also love the use of Phantasms Decoration Collection as part of the display. After all, it just wouldn't be Hogwarts if there weren’t a few stray spirits causing mischief on the premises?
Great work, Go Jo! We love the detail and enthusiasm of your Halloween display. And for your work, we crown you AtmosFAN of the Week. Sure, it might not be as powerful as an Invisibility Cloak or Portable Swamp, but we still think it is pretty cool.
Whether it is Halloween, Thanksgiving or any other holiday, we’re going to keep handing out AtmosFAN of the Week honors as long as they keep rolling in! Show us how you celebrate by sending photos or links to YouTube videos using this simple online submission form!
