Great Ways to Use ‘Boo Crew 2’ Decoration Collection

It is probably true for many of us – there is always one Halloween costume that we love most of all, and year after year, we’ll put it back on to wear it yet again into the October night.

We know that many of you feel the same way about the playful spirits of Boo Crew Decoration Collection. After all, it was among our most requested sequels to date! We have heard you – the effervescent apparitions Boo Crew 2 Decoration Collection are bringing new songs, spooky stories and even Halloween costumes to transform your home into a supernatural celebration that the whole neighborhood will love. Just as they did in the original!

From dancing ghosts to musical spectacles, or the silly banter among the life-size three-dimensional displays, there’s a lot to be said for this family-friendly Halloween collection. But here’s one thing that’s worth emphasizing: As a sequel, Boo Crew 2 offers seamless compatibility with the original Boo Crew. This means you can mix and match scenes from both collections to create extended playlists of ghostly entertainment. If you thought trick-or-treaters already stuck around in your yard to watch these ghosts – now you can expect them to be hanging around twice as long!

Before we explore some of the many ways you can decorate for Halloween with these high-spirited spirits, one more point to note. Remember that the audio elements of Boo Crew 2 are just as important as the visuals. These ghosts come with delightful songs, jokes, and dialogue that are essential to the full experience. Make sure to have quality speakers that can clearly reproduce the musical performances and cheerful banter!

Now, onward! How might you display Boo Crew 2 at your home this October? We have some great ideas for you!

Ghosts with the Mosts

Without question, one of the most beloved features of the original Boo Crew is its optimization for the AtmosFX 3DFX Form. For the uninitiated, the 3DFX Form is an inflatable mannequin-like prop that appears to come to life when you project select AtmosFX Decorations onto it – and these playful ghosts were practically made for it.

Like its predecessor, Boo Crew 2 contains two individual decorations that are optimized for the 3DFX Form – just look for the word “3DFX” in the title. (Clever right?) Not as clever as the effect you’ll get when you train your projector on them – you’ll have full-size ghostly characters that banter, laugh, sing and attempt to gently scare trick-or-treaters in your front yard. Scenes come in both solo and trio modes, allowing you to set up one 3DFX Form for an intimate ghostly encounter, or arrange three forms to create a lively scene where they engage back-and-forth with each other.

Where to place them? Position your 3DFX Forms where trick-or-treaters will naturally encounter them – perhaps flanking your walkway or positioned near the candy bowl at the front door. Others like to place the 3DFX Forms in a darker corner of the yard, where the props have a more mysterious ambiance. We’ve even seen them on rooftops! Just make sure there’s plenty of room near your setup, as you are certain to draw a crowd.

One more thing. Don’t forget that both the songs and the silly banter need to be heard! Make sure to have a pair of speakers like the AtmoSonic Bluetooth Wireless Speakers near the display. Just tuck them away somewhere convenient and so everyone can hear the ghosts perform!

Talking (and Singing) Heads

Here’s another way to get ahead ... by getting a head. Some decorators like to create animated ghosts, but prefer to create their own elaborate ghostly bodies. The 3DFX Head Mode is for them. Unlike the 3DFX Form where the entire body is animated, the Head Mode is only – you guessed it – the head. Introduced last year in Season of the Witch: More Witches, the new 3DFX Head Mode allows you to project the ghosts’ animated faces onto a standard styrofoam mannequin head found at just about any craft store. Just like the 3DFX Form, the ghosts tell jokes and sing songs. And you can display it in both solo and trio modes.

Once you’ve got the head animated, you can create the ghost’s body any way you like – draping fabric for a classic ghost look, or getting creative with your own spooky costume designs. Or, set up three heads as though they are haunted marble headstones, not unlike the bantering busts of Disney’s Haunted Mansion. Given 3DFX Head mode is a smaller display, there’s no shortage of places for you to place it – indoors or out!

It’s Apparent They’re Transparent

Ghosts, of course, are mostly transparent. So what better way to display them on semi-transparent material? All of Boo Crew 2’s scenes are particularly stunning when displayed using Hollusion Projection Material. This technique creates the illusion that the spirits are materializing from thin air, dancing and performing in your yard as if they’ve truly crossed over from the spirit world.

Setting up your Hollusion Projection Material is easy. Find a dark area of your yard, perhaps under trees or in a corner where the projection material will be nearly invisible at night. Indoors, at the end of a dark hallway or at the top of the staircase works well. As the dancing ghosts glide through the night, visitors will be amazed to see the lively spirits seemingly floating in mid-air. The Musical Ghosts individual decoration works equally well with this technique – imagine a spectral jug band appearing to perform live in your yard!

Another great way to use Hollusion Projection Material is to use it just like you would Window Projection Material. Because Hollusion Projection Material is semi-transparent, people from the outside will still be able to see into your house. Hang it in your window or doorway, turn the lights off, except for maybe one lamp in the back. Then, as you create your Hollusion, everyone from the outside will see the interior – and of course, some jovial spirits flying about.

Window to a (Supernatural) World

Unlike the suggestion above, when you place Window Projection Material in your window, those on the outside will not be able to see inside your home. For this reason, all AtmosFX Decorations in Window Mode have backgrounds. It’s a great (and easy) way to transform the interior of your home in an instant – as soon as you turn on the projector, the supernatural performers are dancing or playing music on a supernatural stage. Or ghosts hanging a banner in your window to celebrate Halloween. It creates a charming narrative that suggests your house is inhabited by the friendliest spirits in the neighborhood.

Don’t sleep on multiple window displays! If the ghosts are dancing in one window, make sure the ghostly musicians from the Musical Ghosts individual decoration are playing their instruments in another!

Wall-to-Wall Spooky Celebrations

It’s the easiest way to display any AtmosFX Decoration – and often the most impactful! Large wall and surface projections allow you to showcase the full energy and movement of the ghosts of Boo Crew 2. Garage doors work exceptionally well. Display the Musical Ghosts individual decoration as an incredible way to create a concert-like atmosphere for the crowds that you will certainly draw from across the neighborhood.

Don’t forget interior walls – especially for Halloween parties. The joyful energy of these goofy ghosts create an enchanting backdrop that will keep guests entertained throughout the night – particularly young ones.

Disc-cover the Decorating Disc

The AtmosFX Decorating Disc XL offers another versatile way to incorporate Boo Crew 2 into your Halloween decor. This circular projection surface can be hung anywhere to create floating ghost performances, indoors or out.

Try hanging multiple Decorating Disc XLs at different heights throughout your yard, each featuring different Boo Crew 2 scenes. This creates a magical environment where chatty ghosts appear to be celebrating Halloween all around your property.

Others prefer to hang the Decorating Disc XL in their window. We get it – some people don’t want to cover their entire window in Window Projection Material. Using the disc allows decorators to still have a compelling display in their window, while still being able to see out of it!

Make Magic with Monitors

Lastly, Boo Crew 2 looks fantastic on TVs and monitors, making it perfect for Halloween parties or as cheerful background entertainment while you hand out candy. The Phantom Frolics individual decoration is especially charming on TV displays, as the intimate format allows viewers to appreciate all the delightful details of these ghostly adventures.

Tablets and computer screens are great, too. Especially when you want to create a gentle surprise for trick-or-treaters or other young Halloween fans. It never hurts to cover the screen with a gauzy material like Hollusion Projection Material – it slightly obscures the shape and brightness of the screen, making the display slightly more ethereal. This is especially true when you display Boo Crew 2 in peek-a-boo spots where people won’t expect them. Like inside a jack-o-lantern, a small window, or a small box with a peephole with a “Do NOT look in here!” sign. Who could resist that?

The obvious answer is: Nobody can resist that! But that’s always been the story of the charming ghosts of both Boo Crew and Boo Crew 2 – they are irresistible! From life-size 3DFX Form performances to floating Hollusion phantoms, from window stages to wall-spanning celebrations, Boo Crew 2 Decoration Collection offers endless possibilities to fill your Halloween with supernatural joy and mischief. These high-spirited spirits prove that Halloween doesn’t always have to be scary – sometimes it’s just pure, ghostly fun!

How will you incorporate the effervescent apparitions of the Boo Crew 2 Decoration Collection into your Halloween celebration? We can’t wait to see the supernatural parties you create! Send us your photos and videos using our simple online submission form and share in the ghostly fun!
