Given that it is the dead of winter, who doesn’t want to view the dead in the moderately warmer climate of Austin, Texas? To be sure, it’s not just all dead at the home of Galen S. – there’s witches, skeletons and jack-o-lanterns, too!
We just love expansive Halloween displays – ones that sprawl across the entire property. If they’re good – and this one is – you’ll encounter a wide array of surprises, scares and, of course, new techniques that you might be able to use at your home. And that’s always important as we begin planning for the next Halloween!
By our count, we see four different display modes – five if you count as a doorway mode display Galen’s startle scare using Bone Chillers 2 Decoration. Elsewhere, the pumpkin mode display using Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 Decoration looks crisp and clear, as does the surface projection of the Grave Digger (from Sinister Shadows Decoration) on the garage door. If you ask us, this extremely simple display is amazingly effective when it comes to setting an unsettling tone!
Galen makes sure his Halloween visitors get a good look at the Madame of Macabre Manor Decoration, projected onto an AtmosFX 3DFX Form. When this inflatable prop is set in a dark location, you really get a sense of how captivating and realistic it can be.
But of course, when you have so much going on in a single Halloween display, all of which are well done, it is all captivating! Galen has put together a Texas barbecue of great ideas that are, so to speak, food for thoughts we design our own Halloween displays.
And speaking of barbecue – what’s that on the grill? Ew!
It’s not too early to start thinking about your upcoming Halloween display! Send us your photos and videos of previous Halloweens, or maybe something you are currently working on for future Halloweens. Each submission will earn you Kudos for use in the AtmosFX online store, and those selected as AtmosFAN of the Week will receive a complete decoration collection of their choice!
