We often hear AtmosFANs talk about a decoration display being a “show” for the neighborhood. Indeed it is! And that is certainly the case for Jennifer B. of Wroxeter, Ontario, Canada. But she’s also created a show-within-a-show by coordinating multiple windows so that the skeletons of Bone Chillers and Bone Chillers 2 appear to be dancing and playing music together!
“This is the fourth year I have done digital decorating and every year it gets a little bigger,” Jennifer tells us. “This year, I blended some of the videos together to make the various displays coordinated with the music and dancing.”
It is certainly the case that Jennifer’s Halloween display keeps growing and gets better with each year. Though you can’t see it in the above video, trust us, her yard is a superb display of gravestones and multi-color lighting, as well as a quality Hollusion mode display.
But we really wanted to focus on her window projections – they are extremely well done.
With Window Projection Material in each of her windows, as well as stretched across her open garage door, Jennifer has coordinated each of the displays so that the skeletons in each window appear to be responding to each other. It looks great – a definite “show within a show.”
As you can see from the video, when the “Skeleton Band” from Bone Chillers 2 Decoration Collection appears in one window, the skeletons from “Skeleton Dances” (also from Bone Chillers 2) start shakin’ their bones at the garage. And when the music is over, the dancers move offstage — presumably to save their energy for their next performance.
Jennifer is able to mix-and-match individual decorations from both of the Bone Chillers decoration collections, creating a clever synchronized show. As good as it looks, it is not that hard to do. Using video-editing software you can create extended video files that are specific to each projector – you just need to make sure the timing of each created file matches the other.
It really looks great – it appears the sky’s the limit when it comes to what Jennifer might create in the future. “I can’t wait until next year to see what we can come up with,” she tells us.
Nor can we, Jennifer! And “next year” is coming quickly, so we know we will have the good fortune to see your Halloween decoration display soon!
