One of our favorite things? DIY haunted houses made by clever fans at their homes. We think the best way to establish a strong vibe at a haunted house is creating a convincing facade at the entrance. With that in mind, we bring you a one talented AtmosFAN's display at his Ladera Ranch, Calif., home.
We’ve all heard the expression “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” As you can see, this AtmosFAN shows why that’s the case. The facade, largely made from plywood, turns what would otherwise be a normal residential home into a creepy shack overflowing with strange characters.
You can see one of those strange characters in the cutout window – that’s simply AtmosFX’s Hollusion Projection Material stretched over the opening, and the “Twisted Twins” individual decoration from Ghostly Apparitions 3 projected onto it. While many might have used Window Projection Material in this situation, this display features Hollusion Projection Material – the ability to see through the window not only makes the Twisted Twins seem more mysterious, but it gives the entire haunted house added depth.
All told, this AtmosFAN says his entire haunted house took about four days to build, and it quickly earned the reputation as “the best haunted house in the city,” he tells us.
Have you built a haunted house at your home during Halloween? If so, we want to see it! Send us your photos and videos using this simple online submission form and you might be selected as the next AtmosFAN of the Week. Aside from inspiring decorators around the world, you will also earn AtmosFX Kudos and a complete decoration collection!
