It takes a lot to stop pedestrians in their tracks in bustling Barcelona, but AtmosFAN Aitor R. managed to do just that with his creative combination of live actors and Zombie Invasion! Decoration Collection. The display was so convincing, in fact, it had locals of Cervello, a Barcelona suburb, wondering if they should run for their lives or stick around for photos. (Most chose photos.)
As you can see in the image above, Aitor put together a crisp Window Mode Display in an upper-story window that looked over the street and his garden patio entranceway. The eerie silhouettes of the undead pressing against the window created a striking scene against the dark Halloween night.
But Aitor didn’t stop there. While spectators were captivated by the window display above, he and his friends, dressed as zombies themselves, created an immersive experience in the garden below. The combination of projected and live performers had a startling effect on passersby, who gathered in the street – many of whom stopped to take photos.
“Our garden with a zombie atmosphere was nothing compared with our main window projection with real zombies,” Aitor tells us. “People didn't stop asking if there were real people inside the house as zombie actors.”
The success of Aitor’s display proves that Halloween's appeal knows no borders, and that combining AtmosFX Decorations with live performances can take what is already a compelling display to the next level. Class 2 threat level, in fact!
