Three Easy ‘How-To’ Videos for Last-Minute AtmosFANs

If you’re like us, you’re probably sleeping in your basement workshop these days, subsisting on papier mâché paste and last year’s leftover Milk Duds. Still, there’s always time for one more awesome Halloween project, right?! This week, we highlight three YouTube “how-to” personalities who can show you how to quickly and easily make a killer Halloween prop!

We’ve seen a lot of clever AtmosFANs create awesome haunted mirrors – it’s undeniably a great way to surprise an unsuspecting victim. YouTube’s Scare Dad does a great job detailing how to create this always-alarming prop, using items that many Halloween decorators already have laying around the workshop. (He is also quite adept at delightfully hammy acting!) In about 10 minutes, Sacre Dad shows you how to make it appear that a ghost resides in a mirror – in this case, the “Diabolic Debutant” from Ghostly Apparitions 2 Decoration Collection. He even walks you through creating startle scares using a Sprite Media Player with Motion Sensor!

Arguably, it is the most popular prop display for those who decorate with AtmosFX Decorations: the “Pumpkin Mode Display.” And, too, it is the prop that seems to gather the most people around it, sometimes even singing along! In this 5-minute video, JMART’s Haunt does a great job of detailing how to create a trio of pumpkins that will sing, joke and banter throughout the Halloween night in just three simple steps, using any of the three Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree decoration collections.

For those of you who love the Pepper’s Ghost effect that was made so popular in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion, GreenvilleGuy has an incredibly thorough 7-minute video detailing how to deploy the technique in a miniature Halloween Village. While not technically a “how-to” video, GreenvilleGuy is terrific in detailing the key steps in creating this stunning effect using the “Twisted Twins” from Ghostly Apparitions 3 Decoration Collection. And for those who are seeking cool decorating ideas – large or small – watching him build-out the “Haunted Tower at Castle Fogmore” is worth a watch in itself!

Are you building a cool Halloween prop? Maybe you have perfected something from a previous Halloween. Past or future, we want to see it! Send your photos and videos using this easy submission form and you may become the next AtmosFAN of the Week! Not only will you inspire others around the globe, you will also earn points redeemable at the AtmosFX.com store, and potentially win a free decoration collection!
