Four months of planning. Two weeks of building. One very understanding family. Jason B. doesn’t mess around when it comes to Christmas. His custom North Pole display at his Clarksville, Indiana, home features a toy workshop built from scratch, including a conveyor belt that mimics the present-making action happening in Santa’s Workshop Decoration Collection. He’s been decorating for Christmas for years, and this is his favorite setup yet – and judging by the traffic stopping on his busy road, the community agrees.
Jason starts his Christmas planning in August, designing the year’s display long before most people are thinking about the holidays. This vision was ambitious: an entire North Pole scene featuring Santa’s house and workshop, all festive green building draped in Christmas lights and garland.
But it’s the extra detail that makes Jason’s display special. He built a conveyor belt coming out the side of the building, loaded with presents that mirror the present-making action in the Santa’s Workshop decoration. We love the connection between the digital and physical – you can see presents being made inside the workshop and then appearing on the conveyor belt outside.
Another thing we love? Jason retrofitted the 18-foot inflatable gingerbread house with Hollusion Projection Material in the doorway, onto which he projects Santa and His Elves Decoration Collection. Of course inflatables can always be improved!
All this, plus decorated Christmas trees, a snowman, and an 18-foot animated flag pole Christmas tree – the entire scene comes together as a cohesive North Pole experience.
“The community loved it. My road is very busy, and often would get many people stopping and recording,” Jason tells us. “Each year I always try to out do myself but this year was definitely my favorite setup.”
