Great Ways to Use ‘Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3’

There are undeniable signs of the coming season – like when the leaves turn gold or fun-size candies start filling the supermarket shelves. Another sign? When we start seeing the infectiously charming trio of pumpkins migrate from the pumpkin patch to the main stage that is your doorstep. That trio of pumpkins are, of course, the stars of the Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 Decoration Collection

Michael L. of Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., built a giant fiberglass pumpkin, among hundreds of others, on which he projected Jack-O'-Lantern Jamboree 3 Decoration. (That's Witching Hour Decoration on the other side.) You can read about it in the AtmosFAN Hall of Fame.

Of course, you’ve likely encountered these pumpkins before. Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree was first released to great fanfare in 2013, and the sequel (Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 2) came out in 2020. Both collections featured three chatty pumpkins who sing, tell jokes and spin family-friendly Halloween tales all night long.

No surprise — the garrulous gourds of Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 are ready to continue the party that their predecessors started. There’s more stories and silly rhymes – plus three fully licensed Halloween songs: “Ghostbusters,” “The Addams Family” and “Monster Mash.” If you thought your Halloween decoration display was festive before – wait ’till you play this LOUD!

So, we know that Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 is a Halloween party waiting to happen. But what, exactly, are the best ways to use it? We have some great ideas for you.

The Basics

The first thing to remember when it comes to Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 – in fact, all AtmosFX Decorations – is that it can be displayed on multiple surfaces: windows, walls and ceilings, TVs or computer monitors, even Hollusion Projection Material. (As for displaying directly onto pumpkins, that is next-level decorating – more on that below.) We’ve seen clever AtmosFANs project Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree Decorations on garage doors, in the front windows of their home, or simply on the television set to entertain the kids. Anywhere works!

The second thing to remember is that all three Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree Decorations are fully compatible with each other. That means you can mix-and-match scenes from Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 with its two predecessors to create a seamless playlist that is perfect for you. That’s a lot of content!

Next Level Decorating

For good reason, displaying on uncarved pumpkins is the piece de resistance when it comes to surface projections – as anyone who has done so will tell you, it will draw crowds! Unlike other AtmosFX Decorations, this type of display can only be done with the three Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree Decorations. (Halloween Moon Decoration Collection also contains scenes that allow you to project onto pumpkins – however, they don’t feature the three playful jack-o’-lanterns.)

How to set up a projection display so that it appears three jack-o’-lanterns have come alive, singing songs and telling stories to each other? It’s easy.

Simply grab three uncarved pumpkins (artificial ones work too) and set them in a spot where everyone will see it. Then, place your projector in front of the pumpkins and play Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 in “Pumpkin Mode.” (You may have to move the pumpkins around a bit to make sure the faces of the pumpkin display correctly.) Then, discreetly hide your projector – tombstones work well – and wait for it to get dark. Then, it will be showtime!

Valerie J. created a spectacular display with the gourds of Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 as its centerpiece outside her San Jose, California, home.

Full-Blown Pumpkin Madness

Even though projecting onto uncarved pumpkins is a crowd favorite, there is no reason not to get imaginative with other props! Any trio of round-ish items can work – the only limitation is what you have on hand.

For example, we have seen AtmosFANS project Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree Decorations on many different fruits and vegetables, like apples, oranges, melons, squash – even individual grapes!

But you are not limited to produce. Basketballs are round and orange and work very well. How about orange balloons, or maybe exercise balls? If you want to go really big, try orange-color trash bags filled with leaves – it is easy to turn them into three large talking pumpkins! Or you can even 3D print your own pumpkins and set up an elaborate interactive pumpkin machine like D.I.Y. Machines did below!

No matter how you want to display Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 – or its two predecessors – it is sure to be the centerpiece of your Halloween display!

How do you show your Halloween spirit? We want to see it! Send us your photos and videos of how you use Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree 3 – it is easy to do so here.
