With summer winding down, it is time to ramp-up one of our favorite things: AtmosFAN of the Week. We just love to see the endlessly creative ways our fans use AtmosFX Digital Decorations. You always impress!
With that in mind, we’ll start by honoring James Mandell as the first AtmosFAN of the Week for the 2017 Halloween season. What did he do? Easy! He’s already prepping for Halloween! Gotta love that!
There’s another thing, too. James also earned the AtmosFAN of the Week crown because he was the first to send us a video of the recently released Paranormal Passage. We just love the first time we see our digital decorations roaming free in the real world!
James is quick to tell us that his display is only a test – he’s known in his neighborhood for building elaborate Halloween displays with AtmosFX Digital Decorations at his Houston-area home since 2015. But now’s the time for testing!
As you can see from the video, James’ garage-door display shows how effective Paranormal Passage can be as a large-scale surface display. Also, at the 1:28 mark you can see how well ’Spectral Surfaces’ (one of the three individual decorations of Paranormal Passage) displays on rough brick on the side of his house.
For test video, James used the AtmosFX Media Player and a BenQ 2000 lumen, 800x600 projector. He tells us there was no extra set-up beyond plugging it in and hitting play on the remote. His only problem? “It looks great on my brick wall as well as my garage,” he tells us. “Maybe I can get another projector!”
Great work, James! We love that you’re already thinking about The Big Night some 70+ days in advance. (And we can’t wait to see your display in two months.) This preparation is what makes you our first AtmosFAN of the Week for the 2017 Halloween season. You’ve also earned a $9.99 download – and endless praise from all of us, too.
We know that many of you are also developing prototypes and testing displays for this upcoming Halloween – make sure to show us what you’re working on! Not only does it stoke creativity for the rest of us, but it could also get you crowned AtmosFAN of the Week. Send your photos or YouTube links to community@atmosfx.com, and make sure to put "AtmosFAN of the Week" in the subject line.
