If we had it our way, Halloween decorating would be a year-round event. That said, we still appreciate Halloween displays in September – and preferably the earlier the better. The campground in Appleton, Wisconsin, where AtmosFANs Robin and Corby B. spend their time seems to do things right. For two festive weekends, campers transform their campsite into a destination that proves enthralling decoration displays can be found nearly everywhere.
There is no shortage of things to look at when it comes to Robin and Corby’s site – from the many jack-’o-lanterns, to the colorful lights and props. By our count, there are at least seven different AtmosFX collections throughout their campsite, too. It’s a bit hard to see in the above graphic, but we’re particularly fond of spotting one of our newest decoration collections in the wild – Celebrations Halloween – it’s displayed on a TV in the background of their setup.
Robin and Corby do some great work with AtmosFX Gear. Their 3DFX Form displays are especially effective, particularly the trio of witches from Season of the Witch: More Witches. The three-dimensional figures create convincing illusions that have left some guests genuinely puzzled about how the effect is achieved.
We also love their use of the AtmosFX Decorating Disc XL, featuring Paranormal Passage Decoration Collection. They say that the circular projection screen “really elevated the atmosphere.”
The inflatable props also turned a few heads. “The 3DFX Forms left some genuinely spooked, unsure how the illusions were pulled off,” they add.
The two weeks in September when Robin and Corby’s campground hosts the Halloween events has become a local favorite. “Since introducing AtmosFX Digital Decorations in 2020, we’ve drawn plenty of attention,” they tell us. “But this year truly stood out.”
Robin and Corby aren't resting on their success. “Next year, we’re upgrading to a larger site, which means an even more impressive AtmosFX setup. Ideas are already swirling for how to take things to the next level!”
