The #1 reason we share AtmosFAN videos is to inspire others, and to see what creativity might be built upon previous ideas found elsewhere. So, we loved seeing what Chris F. from San Antonio, Texas, created: a zombie containment vehicle.
We’ll get to why it looks so familiar in a sec. First, let’s discuss how cool it is!
We are seeing more and more people decorating their automobiles – and why not? The more decorating, the better. Many, like Chris, do it for “trunk-or-treat” events, where people decorate their cars and park them in a central place where kids can safely trick-or-treat all of the cars.
“I created a zombie cage out of PVC pipe in the back truck bed of my Ford F150 and added shower curtains inside the cage to be used for rear projection,” Chris tells us. “I used a short throw projector and tablet powered by a 750-watt inverter hooked to the truck battery. The looped video was from the AtmosFX Zombie Invasion! Decoration Collection. Even before sunset it was easy to see and people loved the effect.”
We love the effect, too. And we’d love it even if it wasn’t a newer model of the AtmosFX zombie containment unit that crashed San Diego’s Comic-Con back in – gasp! – 2012. After the trunk-or-treat event, Chris tells us that he was able to park the zombie containment vehicle in his own driveway. And, no surprise, it was the main attraction there, too.
“It was a hit,” Chris says. “And we had a large number of parents taking videos of their kids sitting on the truck gate with zombies clawing from within the cage above and behind them.”
