When you spot a “Salem Broom Company” sign in someone’s yard, you know exactly what kind of Halloween experience awaits you. AtmosFAN Amy R. of Woodville, Ontario, Canada, has embraced the witch theme completely, creating a cohesive display that transforms her property into what feels like a supernatural crossroads where multiple covens have gathered.
Amy has integrated at least five different AtmosFX Decoration Collections throughout her home and yard – Season of the Witch, Season of the Witch: More Witches, Phantasms, Legends of Halloween: Scarecrow, and Halloween Moon – into one seamless witch-themed experience. The result is a display that feels both expansive and focused.
Our eyes typically first go towards the front door of any decoration display (because that’s where the candy bowl usually is), and we just love Amy’s doorway projection, where the old crone appears to be stationed just inside the house, creepily rocking in her chair as visitors approach.
Of course, witches aren’t content to stay indoors. On the corner of her house, Amy used Hollusion Projection Material to create the effect where a witch appears to fly on her broomstick through the cool Canadian night. (Later, that same material is used to display the full October moon from the Halloween Moon Decoration Collection.) On the other side of her house, she uses more Hollusion Projection Material to create a crisp and clear convening of the coven – thanks to Season of the Witch: More Witches.
We’ve said this before – we love displays that center on a singular theme, and then go for it. That said, Amy has also included delightful Easter eggs throughout her display – small details that reward closer inspection. Among these is a creative use of Halloween Moon in Pumpkin Mode, where jack-o’-lanterns transform throughout the night. (Did you know that Halloween Moon has a scene formatted for Pumpkin Mode display? It does!)
“People loved stopping by in their vehicles to watch the show,” Amy tells us.
We are not surprised. Amy’s thematic approach means she’s crafted something that feels like a complete story unfolding across her property, and people love that. Plus, it looks great.
