We're still gloriously wallowing in the Halloween submissions, drinking it all in, much like Augustus Gloop in Willy Wonka's Chocolate River. Except, of course, we love it!
Still, we realize that, unless you’re a panda (or zombie), it is important to vary your diet. So, this week, we are going to take a small break from Halloween to offer two small Christmas-themed palate cleansers. After all, as much as we love Halloween – we know that Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's are fast approaching, and we need to be mentally prepared to celebrate them all!
With that in mind, we start with something that always brings us great joy: The first ‘in the wild’ sighting of our newest digital decoration. That, of course, is Yuletide Window. Cameron Mitchell decked-out his upstairs window at his home in Innisfil, Ontario, Canada. As you can see from the video, Yuletide Window is effective in bringing dynamic color to any holiday display – whether you plan to go over-the-top with countless props and lights, or intend something a little more restrained as Cameron has done. But here's the real question: It is November 13, people – why are not seeing more Christmas displays?!
This second video, we admit, proves we've always got a little Halloween on the brain. It comes to us from Scott Bell. He's the AtmosFAN of the Week who sent us this video of the clever candy crate using Eerie Eyes. This past Halloween, he tells us, was cold and snowy in his hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Illinois. So Scott made a few last-minute changes to his front-window Halloween display – he added some scenes from Night Before Christmas. "Every now and then Santa would creep into the scene and wave or wink or laugh," Scott tells us. "The brave folks who ventured out on that cold night had a good laugh."
We love Halloween, but we also love seeing the first-of-the-season Christmas displays! Great work, Cameron and Scott – you've brought us some holiday cheer! We'll still be highlighting more Halloween videos in the coming weeks and months, so please make sure to send them using our convenient AtmosFAN of the Week Submission Form. And send your Christmas and Thanksgiving videos, too!
Oh, and we can't wait to see our first ‘in the wild’ video from our next Christmas-themed digital decoration! Hint! Hint! What will it be? And who will send it to us?!
