Say ‘Hello’ to AtmosFX this Summer!

It is officially summer. And that can only mean one thing: We have entered the Halloween and haunt convention season!

This is the time of year when we start training our brains (and we’ve got many in our laboratory beakers for precisely this purpose) to think about how we are going to blow-away our friends and neighbors with an otherworldly decoration display this upcoming Halloween season.

To stimulate your brains, we have compiled a short list of AtmosFX-approved events taking place this summer and fall. If you are in the area, make sure to stop by and expand your mind – Scanners-style!

Midsummer Scream (July 29-30; Long Beach, Calif.) - This relatively new convention is already one of our favorites. The ‘Hall of Shadows’ is reason enough to attend – it is an amazing collection of great haunting ideas for your home or business. And there’s cool film presentations, special guests and, of course, 100,000-square-feet of Halloween-themed convention space. We will be in the thick of it – presenting a workshop on digital decorating, and a class on the history of decorating for Halloween.

Fan Expo Canada (August 31-September 3; Toronto, Ont.) - This enormous expo celebrates so much so well — comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming. That will certainly keep us busy when we’re not at the helm of our convention booth. But that booth? It’ll be awesome – we will be setting up the whole AtmosFX experience there, and have (metric) tons of product, too! In fact, for our Canadian fans, it will be a great way to score new gear without having to pay customs duties and shipping fees from the U.S. to Canada.

Hang out with Dr. TerrorEyes – Keep your eyes open for our friend-in-fear, Dr. TerrorEyes. If it is a significant Halloween convention, he’s probably presenting there. Among others, he’ll be at ScareLA and the Annual Florida Haunters Ocala Make-n-take/Social. Check out his Facebook page to see where else he’ll be. And make sure to say hello for us!

And that’s not all! We’ll be involved in other Halloween-themed events this summer and fall – sometimes as presenters, othertimes offering prizes and cool swag. Where? We will post more detail as we know it, but keep on the lookout for the Portland (Ore.) H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival, Los Angeles-based ShriekFest, and the Twin Cities (Minnesota) Horror Festival.

And there will be more – keep checking back here!
