It’s AtmosFAN of the Week time again – as it always seems to be this time of year. This week we take you to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where Lee Weber is putting on a BIG show.
Maybe because we’ve featured a smaller-scale display last week (click here to see it), we were really taken by this simple, inexpensive – and large-scale – display. As you can see by the video below, his use of Paranormal Passage Decoration Collection across his entire garage is extremely convincing – that is certainly not a car backing out of the garage!
Although we always love to see our newest AtmosFX Decorations roaming free in the wild, we love how Lee has built a decoration mix-tape that includes some of AtmosFX’s earliest decoration collections, like Blood Walls and Creepy Crawlies 2. “I’ve been decorating with AtmosFX the last two years and love it – it’s so addicting,” he says, “I mix up and rotate the scenes every few days so it's always something new. I keep coming up with more and more ideas.”
Lee’s been decorating for Halloween ever since he was young – by the time he was 4 or 5, he recalls booby-trapping the stairwell so a ghost would descend on a string when someone opened the front door. He just discovered AtmosFX two years ago, and has been entertaining the neighborhood with his decoration displays ever since.
So far, his neighborhood hasn't done a lot of decorating, but Lee is changing that. He tells us that his neighbors have shown great interest in his displays, and you get the sense that Lee’s long enthusiasm is rubbing off. “I try to be respectful by not playing the sound until closer to Halloween,” he says. “And as hard as it was, I waited until it was October 1 before I turned the displays on.”
We love your enthusiasm, too, Lee! And for that, we crown you AtmosFAN of the Week.
For the rest of you Halloween decorators out there, it is GO TIME! Halloween in coming! Send us photos and links to your YouTube videos – we want to be inspired by your work! You might just be named the next AtmosFAN of the Week!
