AtmosFX Has Christmas Lights? Here’s How to Use Them!

When it comes to Christmas decorations, there’s something magical about the warm glow of twinkling lights. They’ve been a holiday staple for generations, and it has become clear that tons of Christmas decorators have been using them to complement their AtmosFX Decoration displays.

Yeah, we’ve noticed. So, we figured we’d make available Christmas lights for those decorators who like to work with them – or just need a few more strings to make sure their holiday display looks perfect. And with it, we figured we’d offer a few bright ideas for those of you who wish to combine lights with your favorite Christmas-themed AtmosFX Decorations.

Making Hollusions even more magical. Hollusions are often associated with ghosts and Halloween, but there are a lot of great ways to deploy the technique during Christmas, too. Imagine Santa and his reindeer appearing and disappearing in the night thanks to Santa’s Sleigh Ride Decoration Collection! When setting up a Hollusion display, try placing Christmas lights farther behind the Hollusion Projection Material – maybe 10 feet or so. This clever trick creates depth and helps focus the eye on something beyond the material itself, rendering it nearly invisible in the darkness. Then, when Santa and his reindeer glide across the Hollusion Projection Material, it truly looks like they’re soaring through thin air.

Wreath-like wonder with the Decorating Disc XL. String Christmas lights around the rim of your Decorating Disc XL to create an illuminated frame that draws attention and adds festive flair. This technique makes the disc feel like a glowing Christmas wreath – one that happens to feature animated holiday scenes. You can project most AtmosFX Christmas decorations in disc mode, from the jolly snowman of Enchanted Snowman Decoration Collection to the Victorian-era charm of Christmas Carolers Decoration Collection.

Framing your windows and walls. Those same string lights that look great around the Decorating Disc XL work beautifully outlining windows, garage doors, or any other surface you’ve made a holiday canvas. Whether you’re displaying Yuletide Window Decoration in a window or going big on the garage door with the industrious elves in Santa & Company Decoration Collection, a border of twinkling lights enhances the digital magic within.

Creating a living Christmas tree. Turn a tree in your yard into a spectacular animated Christmas tree by combining lights and Decorating Disc XLs. Sure, it’s great if that tree is an evergreen, but any tree works! String lights throughout the tree just like you would with an indoor Christmas tree, then hang several Decorating Disc XLs from the branches like oversized ornaments. Then, project different AtmosFX Decorations in disc mode onto each disc – perhaps Christmas Living Portraits or Santa and His Elves decoration collections. The combination of twinkling lights and animated ornaments are certain to stop passersby for a good long look – maybe even Santa himself on Christmas Eve journey!

Lighting the path to Santa. Guide young visitors by stringing lights along a path that leads to a special destination. Set up a 3DFX Form displaying Santa Claus from Night Before Christmas Decoration Collection, and let children follow the lighted pathway to meet the jolly man himself. It’s a great way to build anticipation with every step along the illuminated trail, making the moment they encounter the life-size animated Santa even more memorable.

Gumdrop path to the Land of Sweets. AtmosFX also offers “gumdrop lights” – large, colorful lights shaped like gumdrops that can be staked along a path. These whimsical lights are perfect for creating a themed journey, especially when paired with sweet holiday decorations. Use them to guide children to a window or wall display featuring Gingerbread Lane Decoration Collection, or lead them toward Nutcracker Window Decoration – after all, those gumdrops look like they came straight from the Land of the Sweets!

We think Christmas lights and AtmosFX Decorations are a match made in holiday heaven. String up those lights, fire up the projector, and get ready to create a holiday display that shines bright! And when you do, make sure to send us some photos and videos using this easy submission form!
