We’ve always loved the AtmosFX Decorating Community on Facebook – it is a vibrant collection of crazy-cool AtmosFANs who are always cooking up something new and interesting. And right now, it seems like all the talk in that community is about SNOW GLOBES! Interested in creating one yourself? Meet a few members of the community that are playing a big part.
AtmosFAN Tiana L. is a first-time AtmosFX decorator and recent addition to the community – she joined this past November. It’s a great reminder that the community is super-supportive of new decorators and is always on hand to offer savvy tips, advice, and buying tips. Though, you have to wonder if Tiana would actually need much help – her first-ever snow globe display featuring the Singing Snowman Decoration Collection is first rate!
We love how nimble AtmosFAN Christopher D. is with his decorating – he has taken his snow globe through multiple holiday transformations. Starting with Happy Thanksgiving Decoration and Balloon Parade: Thanksgiving in November, he seamlessly transitioned to Christmas, projecting Nutcracker Window, Singing Snowman, and other AtmosFX decorations on his inflatable display.
AtmosFAN Dawn B. has a different, but equally successful, approach. She used a 7-foot photographers screen on which she’s projecting Gingerbread Lane Decoration Collection. The screen is similar to the AtmosFX Decorating Disc XL, albeit slightly larger. But that comes in handy when you are projecting alongside giant inflatables!Of course, sharing knowledge is a hallmark of the AtmosFX community, and AtmosFAN Stan H. exemplifies this spirit. His comprehensive 7-minute tutorial is shared with both the Facebook community and on his YouTube channel. Stan is the first to say that he didn’t invent the idea – he was just inspired by the idea and was eager to inspire others. And, too, his display using Santa and his Elves Decoration looks pretty sharp.
Of course, it is important to remember that snow globes aren’t just about the inflatables! Rather than using an inflatable sphere, AtmosFAN Ace constructed his snow globe from plywood, creating a super-easy surface projection for Santa and his Elves Decoration. After all, his display is as simple as displaying on any wall, yet it still adds that distinctive touch to any holiday decoration display.

Lastly, we’d be remiss if we didn’t highlight the snow globe from AtmosFAN Dee S., featuring Santa’s Sleigh Ride Decoration. Perhaps more appropriately, featuring everything you’d want in a snow globe – wrapped gifts, teddy bears, lights and actual blowing “snow”! “I think I learned a little bit of every skilled trade working on this,” she says. “It was so fun.”
