The pumpkins have been put away, but the party isn’t going anywhere. Gene K. of Centerville, Ohio, kept his archway standing, traded his Halloween inflatables for Thanksgiving ones, and let a very confident turkey take over the yard. Turns out the neighbors still wanted a show!
Here’s a reminder worth passing along: when Halloween ends, your decorating doesn’t have to. Chances are your props, your lights, and other setups are still sitting out from October. Gene saw that as an opportunity. He left his archway of Hollusion Projection Material right where it was, then brought in the Thanksgiving turkeys.
The star of the show is Turkey Tomfoolery Decoration, projected onto the Hollusion material. The turkey appears to strut and goof around on Gene’s front lawn, surrounded by a flock of inflatable turkeys in pilgrim hats. The animated bird fits right in, and the whole scene feels like one cohesive Thanksgiving party.
It’s also a good reminder that Hollusion Projection Material isn’t just for Halloween – it certainly works great here. Gene’s has stood up to a lot. “It has been up for a good two months in all weather conditions and has held up amazingly well – so well we bought another one,” he tells us.
Gene’s neighbors also didn’t want the celebrations to end. “Just finished Halloween. Our community wanted some more so they were entertained by Turkey Tomfoolery,” Gene says. “They were quite amazed by the color and clarity of the illusion.”
If you’re looking at a yard full of leftover Halloween gear, consider this your permission slip to keep going. Thanksgiving first, then Christmas. And why stop there?!
