Of course it’s a Bostonian going all-out for St. Patrick’s Day. Longtime AtmosFAN Chris H. doesn’t just decorate – he creates an entire light show synchronized to music, incorporates AtmosFX’s two St. Patrick’s Day decorations, and does it all to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. No pressure, New England, but can you compete?!
Many of you may recognize Chris and his creations – as someone who is ready to celebrate nearly any holiday, he’s been featured before in the AtmosFAN Hall of Fame. (Here, too!) He uses xLights software to create his light shows, programming thousands of LEDs to sync with music. The result is a house that pulses with color – and during St. Patrick’s Day, that means plenty of green, but also rainbows of every other hue imaginable.
The lights are only part of the story. Chris incorporates AtmosFX Decorations into his displays, projecting them in his attic window and on his front door. For St. Patrick’s Day, he’s using the Happy St. Patrick’s Day Decoration along with the newly released Lucky Leprechaun Decoration – which is now available as a free download.
“The kids love the front door animations and especially when there is some character like the Turkey, Snowman, Bunny, and now the Leprechaun,” Chris tells us.
You can find the Lucky Leprechaun at the one-minute mark of his show, dancing on the front door while the lights surrounding it shift through their programmed sequences.
We love the vibrant color and the energy of Chris’s display, especially given the winter in the Northeast this year – who wouldn’t want a little visual warmth? And speaking of warmth, what makes Chris’s displays even more meaningful is their purpose. He ties his light shows to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, using his holiday decorations to raise awareness and support for the organization that grants wishes to children with critical illnesses.
From turkeys to snowmen to bunnies to leprechauns, Chris has the recipe to make any holiday special. He knows that a little creativity and a lot of lights can do more than just entertain the neighborhood.
