With all the excitement surrounding yesterday’s new decoration release, we were reminded how fantastic each of the first three inductees to the Legends of Halloween can look! For example, take a look at the stunning Hollusion projection that Chad D. created at his Muskego, Wisconsin, home.Obviously, this particular individual needs no introduction – and most people would probably prefer to keep it that way!
The Grim Reaper is one of three introductory members in AtmosFX’s Legends of Halloween, along with The Headless Horseman and the Pumpkin King. That decoration collection was released last year, and we still marvel at how great it looks when projected onto Hollusion Projection Material. Chad’s display makes that clear.
When creating his Hollusion display, Chad does a couple things really well. First, he places his Hollusion Projection Material in a place that is dark – but not too dark. That allows the material to blend into the darkness, including the edges of the fabric. At the same time, Chad allows for a small amount of light in the distance behind the material – which causes the eye to focus beyond the material, which also helps it disappear.
Another thing Chad does really well? We cannot see the bright light of the projector’s bulb!
These are essential factors when it comes to creating a truly mesmerizing Hollusion display. In fact, we like it so much, let’s look at another clip!
Of course, Chad’s Halloween display is more than just one awesome Hollusion display. He’s got lights, props and other AtmosFX Decorations all over his yard. And here’s something interesting: He only showcases his display for one day a year. It definitely creates demand in his subdivision.
