Anytime we get a glimpse of the cackling magical sorceress of Witching Hour, resplendent in all her manic glory, we are happy. And when you do it as well as Hector Prieto does – well, that will earn you AtmosFAN of the Week status.
We are really impressed with the quality of Hector’s display – the quality and crispness of his projection is among the best we have seen. And here is the best part: He did it on the cheap! Hector used an older 3500-lumen projector he bought off eBay, and used a simple shower curtain for a DIY projection screen. It just goes to show that as long as you’re creative you can make it work!
And work it did – Hector’s home was the hit of the neighborhood. “We had the best display around,” he said, “The video projection is what stopped everybody in their tracks.”

In addition to using Witching Hour, Hector also included some ghastly ghouls from Phantasms, plus a loop of his other favorite AtmosFX scenes. We also love the gauntlet of graves that line the yard and really add to the spooky atmosphere. Hopefully, people were brave enough to go up to the door for some candy!
We hope to see more of Hector and his AtmosFX favorites next year.
