Most Las Vegas homes go big with traditional Christmas lights and inflatables. Brian B. of Las Vegas, Nevada, went a different direction entirely – he brought Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to life in his front yard. The result? A spot on the city’s top 10 Christmas light displays and crowds of visitors amazed by his Victorian-era storytelling.

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised. Over the years, Las Vegas has given us some of the most elaborate AtmosFAN displays we’ve seen – both for Halloween and Christmas. Should we be surprised that a city built on vivid visual energy would inspire decorators to think big and execute boldly? We think not! And Brian’s display is a perfect example.
“We were listed in top 10 Las Vegas Christmas lights to visit,” Brian tells us. “Everyone was amazed with the Scrooge setup and projection videos.”

The display centers around a towering Scrooge prop that immediately sets the Victorian tone. But it’s Brian’s use of AtmosFX Decorations that brings Dickens’ story to life. He’s deployed Marley’s Ghost Decoration Collection in the doorway, projecting the chain-bound specter in a window to warn old Ebenezer of his fate. The Ghost of Christmas Future appears courtesy of the Phantasms Decoration Collection, while Victorian-era singers from the Christmas Carolers Decoration Collection provide period-appropriate musical atmosphere.
Brian has also added a brick fireplace prop, Christmas trees, and other Victorian-era touches that help transport visitors to Dickens’ London. The entire display works together to tell the story of redemption and Christmas spirit that has captivated audiences since 1843.

Brian’s Christmas Carol display is among the very best we’ve seen, and it’s inspired us to want to see more. For those interested in creating their own version of this classic tale, we’ve published our own suggestions on how to recreate Dickens’ story. The blogpost walks through which decorations work best for each ghost, offers creative alternatives, and even shows how to include the Cratchit family in your display – thanks to Macabre Manor Decoration Collection.
Whether you go as elaborate as Brian or create a simpler version, A Christmas Carol offers a perfect opportunity to blend the spooky and the seasonal – something AtmosFX decorators have been perfecting for years.
