While International Dinosaur Day is just a single day, we know that clever decorators choose to celebrate these not-so-terrible lizards on Halloween and children’s birthdays – really, any day of the year. With that in mind, we bring you two great displays from AtmosFANs that feature Dinosaur Encounter Decoration – one indoors, and another out!
We start with the amazing outdoor display created by Nick B. at his home in Rancho Mission Viejo, California. As many of you know, we love single-theme decoration displays, and Nick’s Jurassic Park–focused Halloween display fits the bill perfectly.
Nick uses his two-car garage door in the best way possible: Covering the entire opening with projection material, and then back-projecting Dinosaur Encounter onto it, big and bold. (The only way to project dinosaurs!)
With a giant tyrannosaurus established, it allowed Nick to build around it a bunch of cool Jurassic Park–style props and displays. The Jeep, of course, and the dinosaur eggs and electrified fence all help build a theme that, clearly, the neighborhood took great joy checking out.
“It was a great photo opportunity for the kids to pose in front of a dinosaur,” Nick tells us.
Of course, decoration displays aren’t just for Halloween, nor are they just for the outdoors. Evan W. of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, checks both boxes.
“We did a Jurassic Park birthday for my 3-year-old son. He loves Jurassic World, Owen and Blue the raptor,” Evan tells us. “It was a smash, all the kids stayed in Jurassic Park for most of the party enthralled with all the dinos.”
Evan says it was fairly easy to set up his “Jurassic Park” for the enthused partygoers. He placed a projector up high and simply projected onto the wall. With some added greenery and a few other decorations, he had created an entire world that was perfect for his son’s party. And almost certainly, neither he nor his partygoers will ever forget it!
