In the nearly three years since we introduced the AtmosFAN of the Week feature to our blog, we've come across countless ideas from our creative fans. As we approach Halloween, we are looking back at some the most inspiring posts from years past.
This week, let's revisit Nova Scotia on October 29, 2015, and Brent Conrad. Brent's YouTube channel has a wealth of great Halloween ideas and is always worth checking out. But, what really caught our eye was Brent's fantastic use of Hollusion Projection Material. His video captures how you can render the material almost invisible. The result is an incredible display of phantoms materializing out of thin air!
Brent’s impressive presentation features a flawlessly executed outdoor HollusionTM effect. By placing his projector out of sight and hanging his Hollusion Projection Material several feet from his house, Brent is able to create the stunningly realistic illusion of ghosts and specters from Phantasms floating freely in his yard.
The muted, slightly animated red and blue lights that he shines onto the front of his home create just enough ambient light to make his projection material completely disappear. The subdued back-lighting also does a great job of making his brightly projected digital characters the focal point of his display. As an added touch, he uses the accompanying audio from his digital decorations to put the finishing touch on an extra spooky atmosphere.
Amazing work, Brent — we couldn’t have done better ourselves!
Congratulations to all of our AtmosFAN of the Week winners and thanks to all of you for your incredible submissions this Halloween season. We received so many great photos and videos that choosing winners each week was nearly impossible.
