If you’re a horror fan, you’ve probably seen Night of the Living Dead more than a few times. And, if you like your trivia, you may even know that the film was shot in Evans City, Pennsylvania. What you may not realize, though, is that there’s a festival held every year in Evans City to commemorate the movie and all-things-zombie.
Now in its sixth year, The Living Dead Weekend includes guest appearances from the original cast, location tours, costume contests – and a screening of what started it all: George A. Romero’s zombie classic, Night of the Living Dead.
The festival runs Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11, so if you’re near Evans City – about an hour north of Pittsburgh – this weekend, be sure to check it out. And, if you’re feeling extra festive, go in your best zombie getup for a chance to win some great AtmosFEARfx prizes!
