While Las Vegas is known for its spectacular shows, AtmosFAN Anthony M. is putting on a performance of a different kind. His three-story home has become center stage for an impressive Halloween production featuring Sam from Trick ’r Treat, proving that sometimes the best shows in Vegas happen off the Strip. If we didn’t know any better, one might think that Michael Dougherty, the director of the beloved 2007 indie horror classic Trick ’r Treat, lived in the Las Vegas home. The entire home has been transformed into a tribute to the classic film, where the mysterious character in the burlap-sack mask serves as Halloween’s enforcer of traditions.
“We have been using AtmosFX for years now, first we had Creepy Crawlies 2 for our spider-themed home, then the next year we used the Zombie Invasion!,” Anthony tells us. “And now we are going with the cult classic Trick ’r Treat – we love the way it elevates the whole look of the decor.”
The display makes brilliant use of every level of Anthony's three-story home. On the ground floor, the garage door becomes a stage for “Sam’s Symphony,” where the pint-sized antihero conducts a fiery performance complete with levitating pumpkins. The upper windows offer glimpses of more sinister scenes, like the “Boughs of Horror” individual decoration, where Sam appears to be terrorizing the home’s inhabitants, dispensing his unique form of Halloween justice.
Anthony’s attention to detail extends beyond the digital elements. Orange Christmas lights bathe the entire property in an eerie glow, while white-sheet ghosts add a classic, if kitschy, Halloween touch to the scene. He’s even included an animatronic version of Sam.
The result is a cohesive display that pays proper tribute to both the film and Halloween itself – which seems appropriate, given Sam’s notorious intolerance for those who don’t respect the rules of Halloween!
