We’re always drawn to the decoration displays that hone-in on a specific theme and then work every angle. To that point, check out how Aaron L. went all in on the fire-and-brimstone aesthetic at his Nooksack, Washington, home – it’s so on point, one wonders if he might have considered handing out chunks of coal to Halloween trick-or-treaters.
OK, handing out coal is reserved for Santa and naughty girls and boys – and by every account, the visiting kids were nothing but delighted. Why wouldn’t they? Using Inferno Decoration Collection in several windows and dramatic red lighting elsewhere, Aaron transformed his entire property into what appears to be a supernatural fire zone.
And the props? Aaron’s commitment to the theme stays true. He’s avoided the everything-and-the-kitchen-sink aesthetic and stayed focused on creating one powerful impression. Hades, perhaps? One look at the giant winged demon looming over the scene and slow-roasting bones of all the skeletons languishing in the heat and you’d have to think so.
Did the neighborhood trick-or-treaters make the same association? We have no idea. But we do know they were totally enthralled. “All the kids in the neighborhood said as they stopped by,” Aaron tells us, “‘Look! The house is on fire!’”
That kind of reaction is exactly what any Halloween decorator is going for – provided, of course, the kids don’t call the local fire department. Nice work, Aaron!
